Newly Arrival Degummed Silk Supply to Benin
Short Description:
Newly Arrival Degummed Silk Supply to Benin Detail:
Brand Name: Fancci
Alternative names: None
Introduction:
Silk fibers extruded by silkworms consist of two main proteins, sericin and fibroin, with fibroin being the structural center and comprising 75-90% of the fibers, and sericin being the covering and gluing layer and comprising 10-25% of the fibers.
Comparing to other naturally derived and biodegradable biomaterials such as collagen, silk fibroin has advantages of low immunogenicity (likely due to unique structure), high safety (from domestic silkworm), tunable degradation time (from weeks to months) and processability (all aqueous, no harsh conditions and toxic solvents used), thus suitable for many biomedical applications from tissue engineering/repair to controlled drug delivery.
Our products are processed to completely remove the immunogenic sericin from the silk fibers while maximally preserve the molecular weight of silk fibroin, thus eligible as a raw material for the following silk purification and material processing.
